September in Wakefield: Where Summer Lingers and Fall Begins

River days, village wandering & the first signs of fall

There is something especially lovely about Wakefield in September.

Summer hasn’t quite left yet. The afternoons can still be warm enough to spend time on the water, patios are still lively, and the village has that easygoing summer energy. But look a little closer and autumn is beginning to appear — a few red leaves along the river, cooler mornings, golden light and evenings that make coming home to a fire feel especially good.

It may be one of our favourite times of year to experience Wakefield.
